Pauline Phillip and Sean Schooling will discuss the role of the recognition practitioner at TELUS vs. the responsibility of leaders. They will provide a scenario that will help to demonstrate how they enable leaders to create a culture of appreciation and improve team member engagement.

Pauline Phillip, Senior HR Advisor, TELUS
Pauline's 15 year career at TELUS has included a variety of roles including, sales compensation, marketing and leading a front-line team in a call center. During her role as a call center leader, Pauline became the Recognition Prime supporting a team of over 300. Her passion for recognition was further realized when she was successful in a role in HR providing both Corporate and Business Unit support for programs across the organization. Pauline is on track to becoming a certified recognition professional in 2012.

 

Sean Schooling, HR Advisor, TELUS
Sean started his career at TELUS in 1990 working in a number of different roles in residential and business operations. In 2000, Sean moved into HR as a Certified Facilitator supporting classroom learning. During his time in HR, Sean also primed and supported programs including Strategic Selling, Leadership Development and leadership NOW. In 2006, Sean moved into a new role directly involved in engagement and recognition and for the past 6 years has supported the growth and evolution of TELUS' recognition strategy and the Bravo Program. Sean is also a Certified Recognition Professional.
